The Princess Bride (Surprise!) Frak Party

And 'Talos brings down the room again. :frowning:

My mom’s birhday party with her parents at my grandmother’s nursing home – the last one she had with both of them together – was that same day. It was somewhere in northern NJ (don’t really remember where), so we could see the smoke on the way there and on the way back. Fortunately, my grandmother was oblivious to everything outside her room, so at least she had a great time while the rest of us were moping.

uh, yeah. Her father threatened my friend with an ax after his performance at my sister’s wedding. Needless to say, I was not inspired to deviate from his wishes for his little girl’s special day.

gods, you guys are just ten tons of fun!

Damn, 'Talos. I’m not even done, but this is by far your best. Topgun’s comparison to Clarke is spot-on. Well done!

Yeah. Sorry. Did I start this? Well hate to bumm everyone out and run. But me need to sleep.

Good times…uh yeah…Well it was…whutevah! Laters peeps!

An ax, you say?

You made the right decision.

I’ve just come home, and opened my computer, only to find the mood of the thread drastically changed. :frowning:

Yeah. Sounds like a match made in heaven. Just saying. Oh craaap it’s late and I’m punchy! Big shocker there.

My friend Mike who was best man at my wedding gave a speech that sounded more like something Commander Worf was giving the speech.

When I asked later if that what was he intended, he told yes it was and that was all he could not sot say something like “today is a good day to die”

LOL. many years ago a family friend got married, and at the reception, the band played the theme from MAS*H. yes, there was a singer, and yes, he sang the words (“Suicide is Painless”). even as a kid, I knew that was just wrong.
