The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 4/18 @ 8 PM ET

There’s a great War of the Ring board game (a pre movie era game) that I’ve played many times.

Isn’t it gorgeous? They made all the weapons and chainmail by hand. Amazing.

I think its pretty obvious no one in middle earth has heard of Issac Newton…other wise they would know that Elephant > Horse 99.9% of the time going head to head

Are you kidding? I mentioned this as one of my favorite scenes in the book too! That is awesome.

Hive-Frakking-Mind !!

The passage in the book gives me chills every time.

Hi TG.

The elephant …or oiliphant to use the correct Tolkein words—
anyway, these kinda remind me of the Imperial Walkers in the Hoth Battle of Empire Strikes back.

Inertia sucks.

ANd i always thot Plate Armor was good against weapons…I guess not when going up against a Hobbitis

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.

I love Eowyn in this scene. You go gyrl!

Yeah, but the extra mobility helps. Remember, inertia works both ways! It’s a lot harder to stop something that big…

You big geek.

So i guess the Sword is mightier than the neck!!

Waaaah! My Netflix connection just crapped out. :frowning:

Well, that was fun while it lasted.

Ahh that sucks…maybe it will come back soon

Ah! Eowyn: I am no man!

squee

I love the Ghost Army…

You go girl!

It’s been stuck at 3% for about 4 minutes, so I’m guessing not.

Blind-frakkin’ for me, I suppose.

Makes me sad, too, since I so enjoy the Witch King fight scene. :frowning:

And that Witch King is why you gotta read more into your prophecies. Analyze them. And learn all about semantics…

When Legolas was climbing the oliphant, first time I saw it I was like, “How is he doing that?” When I watched it home I remember saying, “He’s using the Vulcan arrows! Brilliant!”
