Eh, it was okay. Like you said, not many supernatural series on the big networks but this one has a good cast. “Twilight meets Twin Peaks” could be interesting. And there seems to be witches (Peg and Devon), which vampires and werewolves can agree on disliking if you read Charlaine Harris.
One question: Why was Rhona Mitra able to be out cutting roses in the sun at the beginning of the episode but then after her post-kill crying fit in the shower, she gets burned by the sun?
Ok. Two shows about ghosts, but not the other supernaturals. Touched by and Angel and Highway to Heaven were others, but older and more religious. My point is, I think this show is doomed because it’s on a big network and it’s time slot. A better time slot would be opposite Supernatural’s since they are on summer hiatus.
I think the point of this “town” is that all supernaturals are under rules to play nice with each other or risk being kicked out. But, yeah. There’s animosity between the female vamp and one witch, but not the other, wiser witch.
Answer: I think these vampires don’t suffer from popular weaknesses (so far) except cravings. Also, notice werewolves can change at will no matter what the moon phase day or night unless agitated (like the Hulk).
The crying was remorse/guilt for bleeding that guy and putting their lives at risk because she can’t control her cravings. She wasn’t burned, but that rash/bruise on her leg is suspicious.
I do wonder what her husband’s “I hope it was worth it” was about though. Maybe their cravings intensify when they drink fresh blood. Or, maybe it was a jibe at her because he had to eat/drink dead/stale flesh/blood.
