“Elephant” by Damien Rice
Gouge Away by the Pixies
Not that they have ever steered me wrong
Ragoo - Kings of Leon
loveable for the bouncy melody, kind of like a country reggae Bob Marley meets the Allman brothers kind of thing.
Weekends by “The Perishers”
Mercy Street - Peter Gabriel
You just can’t beat lyrics like:
Confessing things in a warm velvet box to the priest he’s the doctor he can handle the shocks
Feathers - Coheed & Cambria
I have most recently found that I love this band. I am especially a fan of the fact that A.) They sampled the line from Army of Darkness regarding the boomstick on an acoustic version of one of their songs and B.) Because Claudio Sanchez wrote four (I think actually five now) concept albums and also devoted his time and energy to writing graphic novels to explain the story behind each one, I don’t know that I ever liked prog or power metal-ish music before, but include comic books and I’m hooked.
“The Funeral” by Band of Horses
i won’t back down, either the tom petty version (which most paople know it by) or Johnny Cash version (which took me forever to find, finnaly got it on iTunes, pretty much only place you can get it)

Mayor’s Destiny - Cross Your Heart
Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards — Billy Bragg
How can you go wrong with song that includes “Beam Me Up Scotty”. …and it even mentions Fidel Castro’s brother. And the 15 Fan-Filled Minutes of Fanzine Writer.

If nobody minds my saying so, I feel the need for some pompous ceremonial music honoring this glorious day of the premiere:
Come on, that is beautiful music !
And I saw you, third row, fifth seat in, right? Behind the guy in the tuxedo?
Excellent. Awww, look how happy all those people are. They’re clapping because they’re excited about the premiere tonight.
