We see a lonely Superman, flying through the night. And stops to watch Lois at home.
Richard the boyfriend, is jealous of Superman.
He asks Lois if she has feelings for Superman.
She denies it.
Superman flys away.
Superman remembers his father’s words. That he is alone. Living among humans, but not one of them.
He is humanity’s guardian.
Superman thwarts a very professional bank robbery.
They’re violent, killing everyone in sight. Superman is shot at. He stops the robbers.
And Superman does not kill.
Meanwhile Lex steals kryptonite.
Jimmy Olsen:
“Look in the sky, Chief, it’s a bird, it’s a plane…”
Lois is pissed off at Superman. For disappearing.
Love the way Jason, Lois’ son looks at Superman on the TV and then back at Clark.
Lois knows so much about Superman.
She rattles off some facts and ends with…
“Oh, and he never lies”
Finally Superman and Lois talk alone.
She is royally pissed at him.
“Where did you go?”
“How could you leave us like that?”
“The world doesn’t need a savior, and neither do I”
Superman: “Clark?”
I do believe Superman is trying to seduce Lois.
He’s out of his head in love with her.
Superman is good.
I love all sorts of super-heroes.
I love bad-ass, kick ass heroes.
But Superman was my first love.
And he is good.
Lois:
“Richard is a good man, and you’ve been gone a long time.”
