Probably moreso the effects of extended space travel and the weight of saving entire solar system. If they were affected by the sun’s radiation enough to alter their brains, they’d probably all be dead long before then.
I just got mustard up my nose. Watching the film while eating, I missed my mouth. By the way, why the frak am I eating? I’ve been eating all day. My stomach is gonna explode.
Hmmm, where is the ice cream?
What!?! There’s always room for ice cream.
I figured Trey had off’d himself before Mace got there.
“He took responsibility.”
That’s cold, bro. And I hate myself for agreeing with him.
If she saw him coming, Michelle would have kicked Pinbecker’s sb.
Icarus, There. Are. Four. Crew. Members!! /Picard off
Most complain about Pinbacker-Starman but I found it intriguing and refresher from the usual evil-in-space.
Icarus sure takes time revealing important info. Partly the humans’ faults, but still.
I love the moment with Corazon and the plant, it is filled with so much hope and then she is killed. So poignant to their present situation.
At its core this is a sci-fi thriller but the cinematography and directorial choices for shots are amazing. This sorta is an art-house film.
When Danny Boyle won for Best Director a year after making this film for Slumdog Millionaire. I wasn’t surprised.
This is some frakkin trip, diving into the gravity well of the frakkin Sun.
Pinbacker is a Sun worshipper. hehe
At the end when the explosion surrounds him, I don’t an explanation. It’s simply a beautiful moment.
One term for him. Frakkin’ nuts is another. d:
And…I really dig the closing credits music. bangs heads
So, I wonder how long the climate change would take? Would it be extreme or change over a few days, weeks, months?
Weeks? No clue.
After the sun went out? Probably pretty quickly. Consider that one side of the planet is always being heated by the sun’s rays. Without that, the temperature difference between the two sides would stabilize quickly. After that, the planet would rapidly lose heat to space. I imagine that humanity could survive the cold for a few months, given our level of technology, but all the plants would die from lack of light long before that. Oxygen levels would bottom out and that would probably it for life on earth.
