Is that like a creeped-out OMG or more like yeah-so-excited-show-me-more-flapping-your-arms-like-crazy OMG? Cause in the latter case, I’d be e-mailing you shortly with my best finds.

Hey TFG- I bet the Princess Bride will be good for wiping out some of that HM/HSM madness at your house. You know- a cool princess for your girls to watch. And before I get in trouble, just know that I had to watch a HSM3 trailer when I went to see Mamma Mia yesterday. Once again, I was glad I have boys.

It’s on tv so often that I can’t imagine that an American kid could turn ten without having seen it. Which is one of the best things about cable tv that I can think of. Also, I think everyone 20 or older who has a younger sibling has already introduced Princess Bride to at least one member of the post-millenial generation.
Also, when they’re old enough (I was in 4th grade), they need to read The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. A more ass-kicking young lady princess-type you will not find.

Maybe among our fellow geeks. If the parents or older siblings aren’t, though, the kids just aren’t exposed to it. At least that’s been my experience. It’s over 20 years old; a lot of kids won’t even give it a chance just for that reason.
