Starting Over

I’ve got a while before I rewatch battlestar. I’m going through Batman The Animated Series, Futurama, and Batman Beyond. I also want to get some Star Trek but that will be a little bit later on.

I think I’ll have to wait for the 4.5 DVD release too… I wanted to do it earlier, but I deleted all the episodes I DVR’d to make room for new stuff, and I can’t find them online (well, I’m sure I could, but…). I don’t want to start, and then have no way to finish… we had enough breaks during this series, I’m not doing that again!

I have to wait a while because I’m just not up for something so dark right now. As a result, I’m spending my time on Trek and Firefly rewatches. Also considering tracking down Red Dwarf.

After years of trying, I finally convinced my mom to try out BSG (and she’s loving it–she even watched deleted scenes and some of the podcast commentaries without my even prompting her that they existed, not to mention she’s already theorizing about “they have a plan”), but that also means she has my S1 and 2 DVDs.

So, any rewatch that’s more than an episode here and there will be awhile for me. That’s all right, though; I’m thinking Firefly rewatch, followed by a first watch of Mad Men or S2 of Dead Like Me are in order anyway (ooh, and the episodes of Dollhouse I’ve missed). That is, after I finish my exams and can return from my self-imposed (almost) no TV/GWC exile. Speaking of which…I should be reviewing venue and personal jurisdiction now…

So, if you’re missing any in between 01 and 05, just watch 01. Then pick it up with the 6th episode. There is a marked improvement in quality, which correlates directly to the end of the episodes that Fox forced Joss to rework in the hopes of getting more mainstream viewers.
