I’m still disturbed by the idea that they’re still using 2000 year old textbooks. Hasn’t human knowledge progressed, even with a relatively small gene pool?
Depends on the academic level of the school books. Elementary to middle/junior high shouldn’t be a problem.
People still use the bible.
Incest only increases the chances of genetic anomalies passing down through the bloodlines. The royal families of Europe are probably more inbred than Destiny’s progeny.
Nonetheless - knowledge should expand!
I’m having a bit of a trouble distinguishing the flashbacks (I thought the lighting would be more distinct)
Stop baiting me, sir.
You know that’s not what I was referring to, anyways.
“Except me…and Brody.”

Another thought from this language teacher (sorry that I’m fixated here): language changes over time, the humans shouldn’t be speaking exactly the same way as the current inhabitants of the Destiny. Just saying.
And they just now noticed the black hole??
Hmm, James and Varro and presumably Park and Greer. Doesn’t leave many named women for Eli, and he mentioned having a kid in one of the Kino recordings last episode.
Backgrounds. Indoors vs outdoors.
Camille Wray? Prolly not…
They had Kino recordings to preserve spoken language to some extent.
Already taken care of. Remember, Greer gave him a kidney a few episodes back (right after where the timelines diverged).
Yeah there’s the contrast between the kind of rustic “past” and the metally present, too. I guess I just found distinctions of this type clearer in some other flashback-y episodes we’ve seen
Btw, Alt Varro is a luck SoB. d:
Still a fair point, IMO.
Stargate running theme. Basically it’s just a convention to prevent every episode from being mostly subtitles.
Yeah, you’d think that Destiny would have detected the gravity well long before they exited FTL.
To some extent, sure. But that doesn’t mean everyone will maintain that for the next however many millennia.
Awwwwwwww Greer’s a Dad! Best idea EVAH!
Barnes? Who is she?
I thought about that too, but apparently a really minor character I didn’t even recognize.
a corporal, evidently.
“Me and Cpl. Barnes?”
At least they didn’t leave us wondering.
