Depends on the academic level of the school books. Elementary to middle/junior high shouldn’t be a problem.

Another thought from this language teacher (sorry that I’m fixated here): language changes over time, the humans shouldn’t be speaking exactly the same way as the current inhabitants of the Destiny. Just saying.

Yeah there’s the contrast between the kind of rustic “past” and the metally present, too. I guess I just found distinctions of this type clearer in some other flashback-y episodes we’ve seen

Yeah, you’d think that Destiny would have detected the gravity well long before they exited FTL.
To some extent, sure. But that doesn’t mean everyone will maintain that for the next however many millennia.
