I can see how Daniel and Jack would end up where they did with the Stargate not being discovered, but Sam doesn’t make as much sense.

And this was the last episode with RDA as a regular. Originally they were going to have this as the end of SG-1 and what became Season 9 and on were going to be a “Stargate Command” series, but Sci-Fi wanted to continue with SG-1 instead.
