If we go by the explanation from the movies, every symbol should be unique on every gate. Constellations don’t look the same from other places.

You know, when they open the gate to the other world for Daniel, they could have a lot of other people go through and they could dial to the beta site from there…
That might reveal to the Goa’uld where the Beta site is (or at least that there are more of us out there.
