Why doesn’t Teal’c’s Goa’uld kill him?
Because it doesn’t have a direct connection to his nervous system. He’s an incubator until it comes to maturity, not a host.
He plays it really well. He means what he says and will kill you but he has compassion in his eyes instead of psycho eyes.
He’s incubating it, but it hasn’t “melded” with him, if you will. It doesn’t control him, but it does contribute to his long life and good health. If it’s removed, his health will deteriorate and he’ll eventually die.
A Jaffa’s Goa’uld is just a larva. It needs a human host to grow to maturity. They’re truly symbiotic. The larva keeps the host in perfect health for a long time until it’s fully grown.
