Star Wars vs. Star Trek

A zombie would be the undead. Jesus had the whole resurrection thing. New body and all, he’s God afterall with creating stuff y’know. As far as hell and we’re all going, I don’t know 'bout y’all but I’m going to Sto-Vo-Kor. They’ve got some kick-ass parties!!

I agree. Of course, not everyone believes in heaven and hell.

OMG Jesus is the final cylon.

My heaven is the gutter thread. That I believe in. FAITHfully, IYKWIM.

Nice

Yup, totally a cleric.

Original rules, though, none of this 4th Edition nonesense.

Are we bringing RPG rules into this now? :stuck_out_tongue:

Who’s kidding? He was dead, then he wasn’t. That makes him a zombie or a vampire. He was witnessed walking around in the daylight without bursting into flames, therefore zombie. QED.

That said, it could explain vampires’ fear of crosses. Bad memories…

Nope, same body. Crawled out of his grave to feast upon the living. Did you think all that “eat of my flesh and drink of my blood” stuff was a metaphor?

As far as hell and we’re all going, I don’t know 'bout y’all but I’m going to Sto-Vo-Kor. They’ve got some kick-ass parties!!

I assume your will provides for someone to hold open your eyes and howl to warn the dead?

Some of us believe that after death, there is only Cthulhu’s digestive tract.

I can totally see that. Returning on a white horse, piloting a Basestar, what’s the difference, really?

I was waiting for an appropriate thread to use that very picture. You beat me to it. Well played.

And going back to the original drift (ha) of the thread…

I just started watching Star Trek this week (Deep Space Nine) and it’s enjoyable, though it’s not BSG. Or Firefly. I think that at this point, I’m agnostic as to Star Trek vs. Star Wars. I can’t really handle TOS, and I have fond memories of TNG… so, that’s that. For now.

Really? The Original Fraking Series??!! I mean, sure, “Spock’s Brain” but also “City on the Edge of Forever!” C’mon!

Damn, I’m old. I’m old like those guys who loved Flash Gordon et. al., back when I was young (Y’know, guys like George Lucas.)

I take comfort in the knowledge that there are kids out there that think TNG is unwatchable…

LMAO

Yeah that was my very first photobuket upload years ago. :stuck_out_tongue:

Bah New Round to set this thread back on track.

Delta Flyer VS. X-wing

Not even a contest. Warp-drive, transporters, Borg weapons and shielding vs. what? Four wings? An R2 jack? Not to mention just being able to get up and move around in the Delta Flyer.

Yeah, but THE FORCE! Can anticipate every move. Alec Guiness is your GPS.

Gotta go SW this one.

Oh, I forgot. Jesus is suppose to lose 1 point of Constitution level for dying. And needs to roll a saving throw at -2 to see if He has to lower His Strength.
But I think He gets to increase His Wisdom attribute by d4. Christ, I hope He remembered to update His character sheet.

EDIT: Jesus fraking Christ, what a pain in the ass (sorry barb) this is going back and capitalizing all those "He"s and "His"s.

That was really more the pilot than the X-Wing itself.

May as well pit Episode IV Luke Skywalker vs. Tom Paris in that case.

Well, I’m assuming best against best. And as a Trekkie, I gotta give Luke a four limb handicap here.

That’s why I limited him to Episode IV only. There’s a similar story arc for the two of them, going from rebellious youth to skilled pilot and team player. That’s as far as Tom Paris ever goes, though. He stands no chance whatsoever against Jedi Master Luke.

C’mon Pike. Give yourself some credit. You woulda been a Jules Verne and H.G. Wells geek. Not a Flash Gordon goober.
