Spouse came in late. Asked me to remind him why the Empire wanted to do whatever it is that they were planning to do.
Wel, notice the troopers have varying heights in ANH. d:
Grats on breaking 11k btw.
Ah, fun flick
Stormtroopers ain’t clones, they’re conscripts! As the clones died off (limited lifespans from being grown at super speed) it was cheaper to use volunteers/draftees from around the Empire.
That’s why they don’t all sound like Crocodile Dundee.
Well, you know how women are ruled by their emotions.
ducks
… Kara Thrace?
Instrument of the Lords of Kobol. Not technically a woman.
Woot! Great party, guys.
I know we joke about Prophet being a mook, but you are, too
Not intended to be a factual woman?
Yeah, she’s hot.
Aw, thanks.
That really ticked me off. My daughters love these films and they love Padme. When she died of a broken heart, I couldn’t believe it. I was so disappointed. What message does that send to my daughters? A horrible one.
But, it was caused by the force. The technician just didn’t have another way of putting it because the tech saw no evidence of an external cause. Vader killed her unwittingly through his anger.
Not buying it. Either way, Padme’s death was lame.
I still call bullshit. She “gave up” and “didn’t have the will to live.” Ugh.
I’m honestly surprised by these responses.
Is it disagreeable because it would imply that she was “weak minded”? I took it to mean that the dark side is strong at corrupting. I didn’t take that Padme was at fault or gave up at all.
But she did. She loved Anakin so much that his betrayal broke her heart and killed her. As if that’s actually a thing.
I understand what you’re saying but that’s not how it was expressed on the screen or the impression it left. Here is a new mother and she has nothing to live for? She’s been fighting all this time against so many impossible odds. Oh! Her heart breaks, the poor tender thing. bleh
Yes. Yoda and Obi-wan turn tail and run. The Dark Side is strong and overwhelming all their strength. I get it. But Padme dies from it? As I said, lame.
Huh.
Well, I’m with holding further comment until we watch Episode III. Maybe I am misremembering dialog and actions.
Since 3PO doesn’t know about the princess when Luke questions him, Adywan changed the line from “No escape for the princess” to “They’ll be no escape this time.” I think.
inshirleysvoicefromcommunity “That’s nice!”
All magic. lol
Well, technically he has no gender although he has a male voice modulator.
These are the “power converters” he was talking about! lol
I can’t wait so see and hear this scene on the big screen!!
Haha, nice one. Or are you afraid of some Jedi linguist competition??
Adywan erased the writing on the syringe and added the laser so that it wouldn’t look like a modern day medical instrument. Source
