That really ticked me off. My daughters love these films and they love Padme. When she died of a broken heart, I couldn’t believe it. I was so disappointed. What message does that send to my daughters? A horrible one.
But, it was caused by the force. The technician just didn’t have another way of putting it because the tech saw no evidence of an external cause. Vader killed her unwittingly through his anger.
Not buying it. Either way, Padme’s death was lame.
I still call bullshit. She “gave up” and “didn’t have the will to live.” Ugh.
I’m honestly surprised by these responses.
Is it disagreeable because it would imply that she was “weak minded”? I took it to mean that the dark side is strong at corrupting. I didn’t take that Padme was at fault or gave up at all.
But she did. She loved Anakin so much that his betrayal broke her heart and killed her. As if that’s actually a thing.
