(Retired) General Chewbacca has maneuvered Han Solo into doing business w/ Jabba so he’ll be stationed out of Tatooine where the ship (which the Rebels upgraded the hell out of before it entered Solo’s hands) can be within reach of undercover Obi-Wan Kenobi. Notice that it’s Obi-Wan who talked with Chewbacca, he was just checking in. Chewie and the Falcon was Obi-Wan’s goal the moment he left for Mos Eisley.
