This film is a tease. OSSIM scene followed by disappointment.
For all of its faults, though, I still love this movie. Because there are still those awesome moments.

OK, what’s your interpretation of Palpy’s makeover? Luke and Mace both get a faceful of lightning, and their faces remain unchanged. Is it because he’s Sith? Is this his true face?
The light and shadow on Anakin’s face as he’s landing are nicely done

I don’t know “canon” but I was thinking maybe it’s because of dark side mojo of some sort - neither Luke nor Mace are dark side-y, so it wouldn’t effect them in the same way?
I’ve given up trying to make sense of this by this point.
I guess since he is older than he appears him using the force lightning drained him and looks uglier besides the lightning getting directed back at him.
“Lord Vader?” “Yes my Master.” “Rise!” Was so much better how it was cut in the Trailer!!

And again, the clone army turning on the Jedi makes it difficult to see them as “good guys” in the cartoon. Every one of them is two words away from being pawns of Evil.
