It wouldn’t have mattered. If they moved fast enough not to be videotaped, the shockwave of a object that size moving through the atmosphere would have devastated the city. People probably would have noticed that.

Funny story. On our first morning as husband and wife in the real world (meaning we were back from the honeymoon and heading to work), I woke up and turned on the TV. Looney Tunes was playing.
Next thing I know, my lovely bride is standing in the hall scowling at me.
I innocently asked, “Whut?”
She strolled over to the TV, very coolly. She pushed the power button and turned to me, “We do not allow noise in the morning.” She retreated to the kitchen and brewed some coffee.
I raised a Spock brow and finished my Frosted Flakes.
