This episode has some interesting gender fluidity. Consider the implied transvestitism of the dress uniforms and the transsexual relationship here.
It’s totally not explored though. Just things that are there.

In other words, “I’m totally not into dudes”. 
Their reactions to the Ambassador’s actual missions just don’t jibe well. OK gluttony guy, whatever. But mr. antagonism, and mr. strand you and try to make you love me are just… Worf and Picard are much more resilient than I would be in that situation.
Picard is certainly understanding enough to accept it, since things didn’t go too far.
That would have been awkward.
And Worf is perfectly comfortable with antagonism. Fighting for sport is fun for him.
