We do see it.
Q gives Riker the power of Q in an early early episode.
And Riker brings someone back to life (or my memory could be totally wrong)

“I was a puerile adolescent who was lead by his hormones rather than his head!” There’s our Picard
Space air-hockey pool!
Back from the beyond. For now, anyway.
Hello Trekfolks!
yo-la! here is nicer than beyond, I’m sure
Hey you! Good to see you bro!
Actually, I think Beverly begs him to, but he doesn’t, IIRC.
uh oh, the Nausican…
Never blame the bratwurst, Picard. Never.
Was Q there?
Yeah. I think Q powers do include bringing back the dead, but they’ve got rules against it.
yo-la. I like that. The Beyond is my job. Or Purgatory. Both fitting. I have to go back soon. Unfortunately. I just stopped by for some Star Trek refuge.
Sup! Can’t wait to read your solution to this week’s FSL. Drop the Hammer!!
I wish. And that’s saying a bunch.
Never listen to someone named Corey.
Just a good general rule to live your life by.
Thanks. My wheels are turning. I aim to make the brains of Indy and the Doucheness of the Capt Hammer collide in epic ways.
Alright. You’re Q. How would you treat Picard in this situation?
In the age of replicators, do they have flower delivery?
Too Haiming soon?
It seems to me like it’s more of a case of the absolute line between life and death being much further toward death in the Q’s case than human technology. Something like B5’s Lorien and his talk of tick and tock.
some people are always going to enjoy the personal touch (it’s more romantic to bring flowers than to replicate flowers)
