Yeah but she was in the driver’s seat. How many times had the Enterprise escaped from situations before when the helm did not respond? She shouldn’t have asked the helm about it’s childhood and doting father. It stopped responding after that.
Any poor sap, maybe, but it was still her sitting there.
Even Marina Sirtis herself has mentioned how often she’s crashed the ship.
