There’s an episode of Supernatural with a lucky rabbit’s foot that similarly affected the laws of probability. Owning it and then losing it gave you catastrophically bad luck. One of the brothers almost burned to death by sitting still.

I saw a recent episode of Supernatural was set in Lily Dale, NY. Kellie and I used to live not far from there.
