Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 2x05 Cardassians

Yay! Gul Dukat is here! Now it’s a party! :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s because he’s the only one not wearing makeup.

yeah, I think they partially developed the Cardassian makeup based on Marc Alaimo’s ridiculous neck and shoulders

ooh I like the look Garak has on his face as Dukat’s in the hot seat

Garak’s definitely turning Bashir into his own personal protege. Awesome.

Ditto!

Terrok Nor: It’s just like this space station, except crooked!

Padar’s lack of a political will to do something about the war orphans is so very indicative of Cardassian political culture.

Dude, Bashir, Garak will NEVER tell you.

That’s a pretty forward-thinking plot, isn’t it? To do all of that, just on the off-chance that it might be useful to embarrass someone who might someday become a political rival?

And dirtier on the inside :stuck_out_tongue:

Pff, that’s EMPOK Nor, duh!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I like O’Brien without the curly mullet

RIIIIGHT! Facepalm

“Why do you want to expose Dukat?”

Hehehehehehhehehe. Hehehehehhehehe…

I never liked this green and black shirt on Garak. Too gawdy for his character. Looks like he’s wearing suspenders (or a girdle)

The way Bashir talked about Terok Nor I was totally like, um duh that’s DS9. but!

This is the first reference to the Cardassian name of Deep Space 9, Terok Nor, and also the first time hostility between Elim Garak and Gul Dukat is hinted at. The reason for this hostility would be explained to a certain degree in the third season episode “Civil Defense”, where we would find out that Dukat’s father knew Garak and that Dukat tried to have Garak executed. Their antipathy towards one another would also play a part in the fourth season episode “The Way of the Warrior”. Of the intermittent use of the Dukat/Garak dichotomy, Ira Steven Behr states, “It takes a while sometimes. You lay the pipe and then it’ll take a year before you do another show where you can use it.”

It’s generally a bad sign when the tailor’s badly dressed… at least his hair wasn’t crazy, too

Lol! It’s funny you say that, because I was just thinking that outfit makes him look like he has Rikker belliee. (Or Kirk girdle.)
