Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 2x03 The Siege

I’ve always liked Kira. Tough & unashamed of what she wants.

Yes, yes he is!

big moment for Quark

Aw, Ferengis love their mothers. :stuck_out_tongue:

Winn’s an excellent politician, sensing the importance of the accusations.

Now the question - does she do it for self interest, for Bajor, for some other reason?

and our heroes just don’t get to stay alive, do they. Oh, Li Nalas.

That’s right! Hold up his head so he can have a good death scene!

“Chief, Li Nalas was THE hero of the Bajoran Resistance. He performed extraordinary acts of courage for his people and died for their freedom. That’s how the history books on Bajor will be written, and that’s how I’ll remember him when anyone asks”

Well, it’s a decent start to season 2  Man oh man, I love this show.

I’m sorry I stopped watching DS9. I got into that B5 or DS9 rivalry thing at the time. Both have their merits.

I don’t think it’s that easy to separate her motivations. She’s just as selfish as she is a true believer in her own righteousness, all of which is for the betterment of Bajor.

At least, in her opinion.

I can see how it would have been simple to fall into the rivalry, but honestly? Both shows look pretty similar on paper, but in execution, they’re both great in their different ways. imho.

Also, I’m very glad I got to watch both straight through on DVDs

Exactly! That’s what makes her so interesting to me.

I watched both when they aired first run. I never understood the rivalry. Why can’t we have both? Even Majel appears on B5 to let the fans know there was no fight between them.
