“are we reduced to chasing metaphors to solve this?”
I have it all in one file so… I’m fine to keep going.

and speaking of Dukat and his future… has anyone here not seen DS9?
Let’s keep it going. Especially since I’m watching the DVD.
Works for me. Just figured I’d ask.
Yay! Morn!
I would totally have a few drinks with Morn.
He looks like orange marmalade.
And we’re reminded of Odo’s abilities
The main cast was intentionally assembled to create conflict (Quark and Odo, Kira and Sisko, etc) so as to contrast the relatively tranquil atmosphere aboard Federation starships. This was another very specific decision taken by the producers. Gene Roddenberry’s golden rule was that there was to be no conflict among Starfleet characters, so the producers decided to introduce non-Starfleet characters so conflict could come from within the show rather than always coming from outside (as it did on TNG).
Muwahaha crash the Cardassian’s computers. It’s only fair, after what they did to the Promenade
O’brien kicks the console. Love it!
A nice touch that O’Brien has to kick the transporter to get Odo to rematerialize. It reminds me of all of the people who hit their PS2s to get them to work right
Oh look what you did!! You tore a hole in space. Crom! Women drivers!
and hello, wormhole
where’s that smack 'talos emote…
(and we all know in the end that the wormhole is a Good Thing)
Not sure how I feel about them eventually abandoning that golden rule. :eyebrow:
Sisko’s grin at the idea of discovery is great. He is so Star Fleet.
The first officer aboard DS9 would have been Ro Laren, but she was replaced by Kira Nerys (Nana Visitor) because Michelle Forbes did not want to commit to a six-year contract working on DS9. Indeed, the reason the producers had decided to set the show on Bajor in the first place was because of Ro.
She tore the universe a new spacehole!
I always wondered about that. It seemed odd that she wasn’t involved.
Love the contrast. I was thinking they were going to explore why Sisko saw storms and Dax saw traquility. But no, DS9 just kept the story going. Love it.
