hehe the hands!
Speaking of B5 this reminds me of the “end” of the Vorlon/Shadow conflict.
“emperor”?
kor/baltar
With the children squabbling before their god, yep, pretty much.
With the Orion slave girl. Pike as Sultan.
pure energy, pure thought. hmmmm. yummy.
That last line about “it would have been glorious” was the most familiar Klingon bit in the whole ep for me
Correct me if I’m wrong 'Talos, but I think that these are only gods that Kirk never wiped out.
And I’m sure that galled him 'til his dying day.
Ah. Perhaps.
I bet it did! Enjoyed the frak, y’all. Have a great night! Pon Farr or not.
Depends on what you consider a god.
There are the Metrons and the Guardian of Forever. He didn’t “wipe them out”.
'nite all. Let the PF begin!!!
And so the Organian Peace Accord ended all interstellar war.
And the Klingons and the Federation lived in peace and harmony, happily ever after.
Well, it is their first appearance. They have to grow into the part. In all honesty, Worf did for Klingons what Spock did for Vulcans.
Send more pictur…ah yeah…scratch that.
Not exactly, but it did get them talking which is the point of the episode and gets really addressed in Star Trek VI.
I’d like to think that he came back for the Metrons in a lost episode. No way they got away with pitting him against the Gorn.
And I’m fairly sure that the Guardian of Forever was nuked from orbit as soon as the Enterprise existed again. It was the only way to be sure.
I’m sure at the time, that was the intention though. Introduce a hostile alien race and then peacefully eliminate them from conflict. That would have been the last we ever saw of them. Obviously, someone thot they had potential as recurring villains, and so began the retconning.
