I guess this does away with the whole sock in the pants routine. Is it better to be judged by the length of my shirt than the size of the ship I captain? 
Me too. I always wondered about them but haven’t really given it a lot of thot recently until now.
It would make sense that they’d be oxygen masks or something.
Maybe they’re containers for air masks.
