Star Trek 1x16 The Menagerie

Grrrrr… My Tivo is totally in stuck mode trying to stream Part 2 via Netflix.
I may need to switch to CBS.com

“space vehicle”?

ewwwwwwwwww wrinkly brain skin

'twas my goal.

Now there’s some photoshopping waitin’ to be done. :stuck_out_tongue:

Patience, young one. All will be explained.

Or 'splained, as this was a Desilu Production.

Come on. Makeup had to know their heads are shaped likes arses! And the pulsing. This is kinda distracting. Oh, Pike. Don’t be so predictable.

scary thought, now that my face is out there as a head meetup attendee

From the 80s child, I’ve heard similar sentiments. I get ya.

I grew up on this eventhough it was before my time as well. But TNG wasn’t even around yet. These were my Saturday morning cartoons. These were what I watched when alone. I dreamed about Trek. While playing with toys, I acted out Trek episodes and…ahem…made a few of my own. It has a special place in my heart.

Good. So you’ll be joining us again next week?

Example #1: Sleepy Talos bunny
Example #2: Talos and Gorn luv

There is much to be cautious of around here with the photoshopping.

He really has no choice. Starfleet would never allow it. Spock is being very logical. Big surprise, huh?

Ron Moore in one of his BSG podcasts made an amusing reference to the BIG Talosian heads in this episode.
He said that “Mary McDonnels bald cap was so big (cuz of her long hair under it) that she looked like a Talosian.”
And he said it funny like “Taloooooosian.”

so is this veera person a pre-Head person? thoughts?

If you do, please post your thots in the past fraks.

haha I wondered what he was talking about

Trust me, I know the feeling.

This was one of the few things that my father and I ever had in common. TOS was a major part of almost all the paternal bonding in my childhood.

no worries, I won’t deprive you of the joy of reading my thoughts

and hehe, that was an unintentional pun. I guess my brain isn’t as mushy as we thought.

Nah. She’s no angel. In the wrong place at the wrong time. That’s all I’m saying.

One of the reasons I love Frakkin Talos. All I have to do is let him say things like that, and all I have to say is.
“Yup, me too.” That’s exactly my story too.

Does Pike now have Talosian tech in his head? How did the Talosians contact Spock? Just asking. No answers please.

“Why are you here?”

“To please you.”

Good times. Good times.

You might note the common denominator in those scenarios. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’ll see soon enough.
