Star Trek 1x12 Miri

I once took a scriptwriting class in college and I wrote part of movie script where aliens come to Earth and become marooned here. And the Aliens physically look like human children. But have adult brains of course.
I never finished writing it.

Happens to the best of us. BTW, that’s the teacher in me talkimg too.:o

Another exciting adventure on the Battlestar Schmattlestar.

That frakkin Memory ALpha site is chock full of interesting stuff I didn’t know. Imma scared I may never go to sleep again. I need to slowly walk away from the computer otherwise I’m gonna be reading Memory Alpha all night long.

Well, as always, it’s been fun folks.

I’m off to bed.
Gotta dentist appointment tomorrow and I will have nightmares about the dental staff’s blue gloves, I’m sure.

I think you’ll be OK if there’s only one of them…

Nite Thot.

Don’t worry I got it covered.

Oh great, now all I can think of is “Two by two, hands of Blue”.
I’m gonna be PMing you a nasty note when I wake up from a nightmare at 3 am this morn.:smiley:

Thanks. That’s my buddy Talos—always everything “on the rocks”.

good night everybody!

Nite D. Go straight to bed, Bonk Bonk on your head .

So Miri.

I actually don’t have much to say about this episode as I’m still basking in the awesomeness that was Wrath of Khan.

Agreed. And the oldest boy? definitely going through puberty. Where are his lesions, people?

I cringed. As I’m groping around for a positive interpretation… um… they’re openly recognizing that is what the women’s uniforms are about?

What would they do with someone who doesn’t identify as man or as woman? Would they get pants or a nanoskirt and hotpants?

I found myself wondering the same thing. Not to mention that the kids are obnoxious and kind of stupid (it really isn’t in their interest to act the way they do…).

It never came up, of course.

As you know, LGBT people didn’t exist until the mid-'70s. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh well, since you asked…

Part of the darkness in this one comes from the fact that (IIRC) Grace was assaulted by one of the higher-ups after this episode filmed, and took years to recover from it.
