Star Trek 1x03 Where No Man Has Gone Before

he’s trying to sell it

I think you’re a bit ahead of me. Time check?

Oh wow! Is there an unreleased pilot for Firefly?

Wow. I love the exterior Enterprise shot flying through the barrier in the remastered version.
I’ve never seen the remastered one.

not unreleased, but not shown until the end of the run

Gary Mitchell setup Carol Marcus and Kirk. At least that’s what I’ve read.

“Serenity” was the original pilot. Fox wanted more action, so they ordered “The Train Job”.

Mitchell is reading like Data.

I haven’t got to that part in my re-read of the Brother’s Keeper novels. That might be in there.
Mitchell certainly helps get Kirk laid.

The walking stack of books with leg scene is played out in the books

Ah.

Dr. Mark Piper is also another Cottle sound-alike.

The chemisty of the Kirk / Mitchell friendship is well played by the actors.

Mitchell reading at warp speed now. Super contacts!

That’s what I really love about the novels and what they did in the fourth season of Enterprise.

I always wanted a pair of those silver contacts when I was a kid. They were probably made with mercury back then, of course, so that’s probably a really bad idea.

I liked Lee. Too bad they…wait is there?
Too bad Mitchell kills him
I’m reminded of the relationship of Xander and Jesse. This one turned out almost as well. :frowning:

Oh the emotional woman. I bet that was written for the suits. Ugh!

There’s a great bit in the Brother’s keeper’s novels where Spock and Kirk are going over the changes in the ship’s roster.

Replacement at the Helm for deceased Lee Kelso? Hmmm…Sulu asked to be transfered from astrophysics.

Mark Alden is leaving because he’s getting married to the Commader of Starbase 7. Replacement Lt. Noyota Uhura.

Replacement for deceased Navigator Gary Mitchell. A new transfer named Lt. David Baily (remember Corbinite Maneveur).

Xander and Jesse?
