“Things are only impossible until they are not.”
Data’s face when Picard said that made me LOL.

I do like the 21st century Earth problem tie-in well the passive resistance, and the ozone layer hehe
Ozone layer.
I forgot that.
Hey Badger! Brent Spiner is 61 today. He was our age (38) when this episode was filmed.
“But I like working with the wood!”
Oh come on. That’s just too far!
Thanks. I didn’t feel nearly old enough already.
Aww I feel so young!
Imagine the attacks this episode would take nowadays. TNG would have never made it passed the first season. At the time, Gene Roddenberry was fed up with all the hell he dealt with because of the networks that he wanted to put TNG in syndication. It paid off.
The business itself has changed so much since 1987 (or was this ep broadcast in '88?) that yeah. What you said.
I need a custodian to scan my brain and tell me what I’m meant to do.
You think these children will be teased when they get back onboard?
“You got picked because of your ‘special’ talents.”
Ah, I’ve missed the preachiness of TNG
I don’t know if it would have been “attacked” per se, but I imagine that some of the more… questionable dialogue would have been redone in a somewhat less naïve way.
LOL I had forgotten the awkward-Picard-with-a-child bit hehehe

so is there another ep tonight or is this it?
Hm. I was 4.
Couldn’t the Custodian’s shield be remodulated not to destroy the ozone layer? Or at the very least, replace it?
Yes, “Home Soil” at :15.
Jeebus wept.
I just mean the way TSCC, Dollhouse, et al fall under so much scrutiny without being given and chance. They are constantly under the threat of cancellation. Even BSG was in trouble. Ron Moore didn’t know whether they would make it past Season 2. That’s insane!!
That whole part of the episode had more holes in it than Swiss cheese.
