Oh, OK. I knew I recognized her.
How can Data not know the Wizard of Oz?
Oh. About the beard earlier. Originally, Data was supposed to emulate another character. He was supposed to be bald.
His knowledge of classical music is sorely lacking.
I love this conversation between Graves and Data. It’s almost touching.
From Memory Alpha:
This is the only TNG episode where no member of the landing party is 100% human. The party is made up of Lt. Commander Data, Lt. Commander Troi, Lt. Selar, and Lt. Worf.
I didn’t even notice. Weird.
So I feel like I know Dr. Selar.
She has an amazing character arc in the book series Star Trek: New Frontier
I could listen to W. Morgan all day. What a great voice and line delivery. I wish I could talk like that.
“It was his dying wish.”
So subtle. Spiner is amazing as Data.
Some day you will, when you become a crotchety old man yourself.
I know who you’re talking about and I don’t think so.
That would be OSSIM!!
Graves looks like the Knight from The Last Crusade.
I know I’ve seen that deleted scene somewhere—with Data bald.
Great eulogy. I want this said at my funeral.
Followed by “I’m sorry I murdered him.”
You’re knowledge of Trek novels is unmatched.
Taking notes
I got it.
“Chronologically, you’re not much older than I am.”
Isn’t Data at least 40 years old by this point?
Tracy Torme, who happens to be one of my favorite for the show, wanted Selar and Worf to have a relationship. Suzie Plakson was too busy on Broadway.
The Star Trek: New Frontier series is really especially good for those who know all the references from TOS and TNG, and that would be you my friend.
…And you too Badger.
It’s got Cmdr. Elizabeth Shelby, Ensign Robin Lefler, Dr. Selar and awesome new characters.
Continuity. Trek-challenged.
