Glad Spiner lost that weird amused look in later episodes.
“It could only be the Horatio.”
I remember being so weirded out over this.
Just like Spock always yelling in the first season. It’s hard to act without emotions.
I love how the computer tells him to shut up.
“I was simply talking to myself.”
That is the better amused look.
And then the computer cuts him off. That was hilarious.
Good point.
“Starfleet’s left hand did not know what its right hand was doing.”
I hate when that happens.
“Uncustomary reshuffling of personnel – usually in the command areas,”
This had the feel of the Original Series but was more eerie.
“I have apprised the remaining bridge crew of the situation.”
Even the log-carriers in the background?
Picard slowly informs his crew. That is pretty trusting.
That’s making me think of Thot’s security officer logs.
“Today Ms Troi is wearing that ridiculous outfit. And her hair. UGH!”
It’s just like I said about the scales in Lost. It’s a very accurate way of telling good from evil, but the trick is knowing which is which.
“Assimilating”
That word sounds eerily familiar.
Oh, and nice to know that Trapper Keepers will still be in use in the future.
The skort is making many appearances in this episode.
Only a few of us old folks would get that.
“Get it done, Will.”
Yeah, you slacker.
I don’t know why but I love the way this fight is filmed and executed.
Notice how Picard doesn’t drink.
This fight feels so TOS. The close-ups, followed by the distant shots of the obvious stuntmen. Needs more rolls and flying double-kicks.
That’s no moon! It’s…
Oh. Never mind. That’s our moon.
