Wife called. Lost my place. Middle of Part 5 ish?
fun as ever (despite the objectification…), have a great Monday tomorrow, guys
LOL. You’re lovin’ the dramatic chipmunk tonite.
“My name is Barash.”
“To me, you’ll always be Jean-Luc.”
You know, when I never think about or mention you ever again.
Thanks. You too, Dr. Cas.
Riker “I’ll try to remember you. But I can’t keep more than one thot in my head at one time.”
Yeah, Badger!!
You say that like it’s a bad thing.
This episode is uncannily prescient:
Riker comments on the unlikelihood of a Ferengi ensign, though Nog became an ensign just seven years later in DS9: “Favor the Bold”.
A female Klingon appears as a Starfleet officer on board this version of the Enterprise. About four years after this episode airs, a female half-Klingon by the name of B’Elanna Torres works as a chief engineer of USS Voyager, a Starfleet vessel.
This episode takes place sixteen years into Riker’s future. This would be 2383, four years after the events seen in Star Trek Nemesis. Admiral Picard states that the peace talks with the Romulans originated in an event four years prior, the same time period as Nemesis.
And something they don’t mention, Riker is Captain of the USS Titan in 2379.
I read just a couple chapters of the 1st USS Titan novel. Didn’t grab me.
Wow. It’s almost as if they had a window into the minds of the writers of later Trek.
