The Cylons were created by man. They rebelled. They “evolved”. There are many copies. And they have a plan…
… oh wait, wrong series
This is such a great episode. On the one hand, I know exactly where Picard stands and why he stands there - I’d do that in his shoes. But, even not being Klingon, I get Worf’s actions, too. Like I said, a great episode.
So unjustified. Nothing he did violated his position as security chief, IMO.
Alexander wants to stay with Worf… awwwwwwwwwwwww
I’d forgotten how great an episode it was. Drama, consequence. Intrigue. Action. Epic events affecting actual governments.
That’s why rewatching is so great!!
that’s one of my favorite episodes in all of the different Trek series. Great to watch it again with everyone!
I always thot that Bonsall played Alexander the whole time, but looking at him here, it strikes me that this actor really looks like the Alexander from the future. Neat casting coincidence.
He didn’t follow the chain of command. He took initiative. There was no immediate threat. Duras killed an Federation ambassador. He should have been brought up on charges but we all know about Klingon justice. Worf always walks that fine line of being Klingon and being a Federation officer.
Picard was right to chew him out. Worf can’t just pick and choose when he is gonna be Klingon and when he is going to be an officer under Picard’s command.
It’s on my top 10 of TNG episodes.
Agreed. Worf chose to be part of Starfleet, and members of Starfleet aren’t supposed to around vigilante-ing people when they suck.
No matter how satisfying it is.
(Did I mention how cool a touch it was that Riker and Data barged in as Worf brought down the killing blow?)
Bah. Spoken like a petaQ!
