Smallville 10x02 Shield

Because it’s not his time yet. Prolly the series finally (or close to it). It would be worse if he looks better in his new pseuo-costume than the real-deal I think.

That’s why I’m thinking he looks off on purpose.

No, I meant as a retcon of the entire Lois/Clark/Superman dynamic. If Smallville is the beginning of the Superman mythos, then Lois (throughout Superman history) actually knew that Clark was Superman after all and was just pretending that she didn’t know the whole time. Maybe she’s not so galactically stupid after all.

I believe Smallville has to stand on its own as a separate mythos. The writers cherry pick the mythos (film, cartoon, comics, or make up their own) they want to follow. They killed Jonathan specifically to follow the movies, but I believe he lives in the cartoons. Chloe has yet to show up in any other media aside from Smallville. And Pete, well that was a bit of a mess in the show.

I think the Smallville has shifted from Wonder Years to adult hood when Clark started working at the Daily Planet. i.e. it’s no longer the beginning of the mythos and hasn’t been for several seasons. It’s almost two or three series (high school, college, and Daily Planet) in one.

Therefore, Lois finding out follows other media in that regard.

Sorry for the rant. Superman is one of the few superhero stories (Hulk and Batman being the others) I’ve followed over the years.

Cat is the new Lana?

I hope she’s not a regular.

while i liked this episode, especially what it set up, and how Cat’s last speech that inspired Clark, i can’t get over how Oliver was saying “we are out there saving other people, and the one person i need to protect” stuff.

It was Oliver that pushed Clark to not just protect his loved ones, and be out there actively protect the masses. He gave Clark so many guilt trips on that it was getting ridiculous.

I guess i can see it though, now that he really has a loved one, he gets what it feels like to not know if his loved ones are safe.
