Same characters. They have two character models for every character and scene. Its one of the things that makes it one of the funniest Anime’s ever. Its definitely worth checking out.
It’s chibi style, it’s not that uncommon in anime. They do it in Gurren Lagann sometimes too. And they did it in Tenchi if I remember right
Switching back and forth???
No, chibi is the term for the ‘cuter’ characters. I’m not sure if he’s confusing terms, though.
Thats what i thought. So it switches between Chibi and normal Anime within the same episode from shot to shot
I’m still relatively new to anime. My favorite ones are full metal alchemist, darker than black, and code geass (in that order); ghost in the shell would be at the top, but I only saw half of it ( so it’s not on the list, very good though).
Maybe Chuck & Co should set up a poll of all the anime mentioned here (if they feel like doing an anime arc) and just pick the top-voted ones to cover. Seems like there’s so many good ones, and we all have our favorite ones we’d just love to see them do a podcast (or even a full arc) on.

I’m talking about the art style, not the style of switching back and forth.
Agreed!!!
I’m one disc into Now and Then Here and There.
Its pretty intense. They are dealing with some serious issues. You can probably check it out on Wikipedia for a description that would be better than i can give.
Now and Then Here and There is that movie with the time travel and the subway and stuff right?
I was going to watch that but I just never did
It may be Time travel but its not apparent yet. No subways.
It takes place in some sort of post apocalyptic time. With No water.
It deals with issues of War/Pacifism and when is the time for each. Is assassination a necessary evil for the greater good. Force pregnancy. Its a pretty intense. i just finished the second of three discs. Still really digging it but it is intense.
Woah I was thinking of something tooooootally different
