Based on the episode title, could the “source blood” be the reason the bugs kept him alive (meaning they’d keep Helen alive too).

I don’t know. This kind of thing didn’t bother me when foreign shows didn’t spread around the world in their original versions. Now that we can see things from the other side of the planet on a regular basis, remaking them so soon thereafter seems pointless.

I know what you mean and agree with you. But, many Americans tend to prefer actor/actresses that sounds like them. Not, you or I or the average GWCer. I can see why executives would rather remake than re-air.
