But then again, Anders is a final 5 cylon, so who knows if it is real or not.
Look’s like Natalie’s hanging in there too.
Maybe he’s just as curios as he’s a cylon and Gaeta was trying to stop the jump.
Or Gaeta was trying to facilitate the airlocking of Kara Thrace and Sam’s not havin’ that!
Chief had such a weird look on his face during that whole scene - I was on the edge of my seat because I didn’t know if he was going to accept Baltar or beat the living frack out of him - and right when Baltar said “I would have liked to have known her better” . . . well, that’s when I really thought Chief was going to snap . . .
What’s really killing me is how all of these people are following Baltar’s craaap about the Cylon God and there’s no basis for any of it. At least with the Lords of Kobol there are scrolls and arrows and Kobol. All the balcubines have is Baltar. To quote Emily:
WORST. RELIGION. EVER.
I really hope Chief (he’ll always be Chief to me) doesn’t drink the Kool-Aid.
You know…I may have to get the duct tape out and wrap my head in it for next week.
My wife and I were watching the episode this morning. In the scene where they reveal Tyrol’s shaved head. Nicki starts crying when Tyrol turns off the radio. My wife said, “You see that look Chief gave Nicki. He gave him a cup of shut the hell up.”
I said, “Chief is winning worst parent of the world award.”
She said, “What? He’s working out. And that kid’s always crying. I don’t think he liked Cally.”
I started cracking up. She doesn’t even know about the Cally haters or all that.
AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH, my eyes, my eyes! Dr. Who Spoilers!
Hey guys after frak party starts in five
http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=16921&cmd=tc
Wow there was a lot of hot sweaty Grand Poo Barge action this ep, but no Adama/Roslyn (both only mentioned). Anders is about to go wild and crazy on the barge. Chief looked on the verge of suicide, i almost thought he was going to shoot Baltar when B entered his quarters and we saw the gun on Chief’s stomach.
I don’t know what this new trinity (Chief, Tory and Baltar) will mean for the fleet, but things are def in for a shakeup with Kara on her way to the Natalie/6’s/8’s/Leoben’s Basestar to learn from their hybrid, especially if it leads to a basestar or three joining up with the fleet.
I wish I hadn’t seen next week’s preview, since we KNOW at least Kara makes it to the basestar, probably with the help of Anders, from the look of the brawl that ensues. It doesn’t mean the entire crew of the Grand Poo Barge makes it out to the cylons, but a bit of the suspense is lost.
I’m off to review all the pages of comments from the frak party that I missed.
Yeah, I’m feeling less and less guilty about reading spoilers because between the previews and their website’s SNAFU of listing one-line summaries of the first 11 episodes, Skiffy has disseminated far more spoilery material than anybody else has.
My preview-informed but not additional-spoiler-informed prediction for next week: Just like Adama did in “Six of One,” Helo finds a way to make everybody partially satisfied. The Demetrius goes back to Galactica to get Gaeta medical treatment (and because Starbuck is just nuts), but Kara, Sam, and Leoben take a Raptor on out to the basestar.
At least the preview does bring up a few questions, like: Wow, does anybody else hear the Hybrid’s freaky prophecy about Kara? And what’s with that flash of Roslin standing outside, and with her normal hair again?
The Galactica parents are disturbingly bad.
It’s the sections of the ship that aren’t leaking questionable fluids.
At this point, I think she’s just happy she doesn’t have to yell at anyone that “WEEEEE’RRE GOING THE WRONG WAAAYY!!!”
That’d be a crew of Leoben and Anders with everyone else going back to the fleet.
I wish I had a t-shirt that says that!
He’s giving Audra the opening to chime in to pluralize it.
Not unless they get more paint than she’s got in her quarters, Leoben doesn’t work for her w/o massive quantities of paint.
It’s nice to see after all those scenes of Helo working out and training throughout the series, that he can take out a subordinate in just two moves, very impressive.
I thought Starbuck was going to look to Anders as her new XO, but that could be what happens next week which starts that brawl we saw in the preview.
remember, unless Kendra Shaw is a cylon or just likes to get reanimated (like Kara), she’s the only one that heard grandpa goo’s rantings and she got herself blowed up dead.
Finally caught up.
Now that’s just good advice for everyone. It should be part of nugget training. Maybe there should be signs.
Wow. Emilyfromdickinson!
Hm, yes… but at least they’re mostly aware of it. (the late Cally refusing to have Nicky raised by pilots jumps to mind)
I liked the episode and all, and I see narratively why they keep chopping up the different storylines… but man, I do kind of wish I knew who was going to be in each episode.
And wow. Anders re: Leoben, well done. Ditto for Helo re: Pike. Way to go, guys.

Um, did I miss something? Do you think the angel is Helo or Starbuck or…? Sorry, I’m a bit slow at times.

Yeah, I’d be all “oh no you didnnnnt. You’re not going to see my spine glow for a looooooong time.” And then walk out in a huff.
