S4.E02 ET/CT Frak Party

This has happened before; this will happen again.
I think all we need to know about next week is Six saying “Please” to a Centurion.
Ya, know?

OH MY MOTHER FRAKKING GOD!!!

I’ve seen it twice, and I’m still reeling!

One thought - I don’t think Baltar, Roslin, or Starbuck are Cylons. I think they’re Lords of Kobol, or some type of god-like-beings.

Stabuck’s statement on Earth: “It’s like I never left.” On Home Part 2 when they entered the Tomb of Athena and had the shared vision - Starbuck was the one who identified the place they were standing as Earth - she just knew.

Man, Tricia must have the hardest schedule of anyone - especially in the future when Head Six, Caprica Six, and Natalie will probably be featured in the same episode!

Roslin crying - yeah, take that bitch.

Adama: Everytime he gets over the top drunk he gets mean and bad craaaaaap happens - last time it was telling Lee he had no integrity, this time Roslin is meaningless. He also does this little, bitter, cynical laugh that is just so not-Bill.

Torrie: Oh gods, that scene with her doing Baltar was just wrong on so many levels. I wanted to cry too. Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. I mean, did we really need the opening shot of feet in the air???

End: Hybrid Master - hands in the air cheering when Adama gives Starbuck her own ship to find earth!!!

Next week: What the frak is Cally going to do??? Will there be division in the ranks of the 4?

Hybrid Master - Starbuck “It’s like I never left”…Wasn’t that weird ? That implies to me that Starbuck has not only been to Earth before, but was on Earth A LONG TIME ! When you move away from home and return years later for a visit, you’d say that, you know? So what is up with that ? What IS Starbuck’s true history? This is going to blow minds when it comes out.

It’s like there’s something in her, maybe deep inside her, that is connected. It’s like Starbuck is the character she is currently playing, but underneath is something else entirely, something bigger and deeper - hence my view that she may be a god of some type. Roslin couldn’t kill her because deep inside Roslin is a similar-type being that transcends the current Roslin character that does indeed want to kill Starbuck. Deep inside they both know and cannot contradict who they are.

tlakshoe is open btw hehe

My first post to the forum. I discovered GWC about 2 months ago and am almost done catching up on the podcasts (halfway through #82). I don’t know what I’ll do when I don’t have endless GWC podcasts to listen to each day!

Anyway, I’m re-watching episode 2 now and was struck by the scene where Roslin shoots at Starbuck and misses. Later on, Anders suggests that the Cylon Raider didn’t shoot him because it knew what he was. He also wonders whether he didn’t shoot the Raider for the same reason.

In Anders case, it seems to have been a subconscious decision not to shoot. What are the chances that Roslin couldn’t shoot Starbuck for the same reason?

Obviously, the numbers don’t add up (theoretically only 1 remaining unknown Cyclon), but seemed interesting to me…

Damn. That may be the best first post yet. (Welcome, BTW!)

“They will not harm their own.”

as for the tomb of athena part, i initially thought there was information in the book of pythia, and starbuck, as the most knowledgeable about both pythia and the stars, recognized that they were standing on earth.

i have also been wondering if starbuck really has been to earth- or had an experience of going to earth-similar to the tomb of athena -where a third party? gave her the directions, and the knowledge of the planet …and to her it felt completly real…

Welcome!

Did anyone notice that Roslin’s shot hit Adama in the picture of him and Roslin?

Maybe she hit Adama in the right eye?

I need to rewatch it, but did she end up shooting the picture of Adama in his right eye too?!?!?

Nope. Just watched it again. The bullet hole is right in the middle of the picture in between Laura and Bill.

Sorry GalaxyRanger, I didn’t see your post until after I posted almost the exact same thing.

Thanks frakkintalos, that really says a LOT more about the subconscious relationship between Bill and Laura than if she shot him in the eye anyway.

Too bad it wasn’t, “You’re not my type.”
If I didn’t think that there were larger forces at work here, this would be a fantastic moment for Baltar to leap out of the shadows and yell, “Butterfingers!”

It’s actually hitting Bill’s left shoulder.

I hope that doesn’t start a new thread…

Then Laura killed the angel on his left shoulder. Bill won’t be having any fun time with Head Ellen.

 1. I thought the same thing- who exactly is Lee representing on the Quorum of 12? I know that political systems have never been RDMs strong suit, but this just doesn’t make sense to me. Of course, Roslin could have airlocked the Caprican Quorum member at some point off-screen…

 2. WORD. This really disturbed me. I feel like this was one of those, “If Jayne’s the only one on your side” moments-- if Tigh is suggesting you “get on your back” then you probably seriously don’t want to. Then again, when Tory was actually making her choice, it seemed like she might have genuinely been seduced by the One True God in Baltar’s pants.

This is why he should limit his recreation to smoking that stuff that grows up in the mountains of New Caprica. I wonder if they brought any of that with em after the exodus?
