did you really think so? I felt pulled out of the story and plopped down into something ridiculous every time a zombie scene came up. kept thinking: why was this necessary? why not write your own story?
yeah, but I’m not as familiar with PP as with other Austen, so the changes weren’t as jarring. If zombies or vampires or something popped up in Northanger Abbey… well they might fit right in at some parts 
but I would be more bothered.
I remember making that comment to someone while I was in the middle of it. my intimate familiarity with the original probably ruined my chances of really enjoying the zombie reimagining
