[Pacific] BSG 4x11 Sometimes a Great Notion

maybe the rash was the destroyer of the 13th colony?
p.s. what does IYKWIM mean?

If You Know What I Mean

That’s a good explanation. I can buy that.

I’ll bet the whole thing is Baltar’s dream. He is still sleeping next to the chick in his bed…You think they’ll pull a Bob Newhart?

I think I would pull a dee if they do!!!

“And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering.”

This leads me to believe that Ellen is not the Final Cylon. No clawing, No hungering, No howl of terrible suffering. Not even so much as a foul smell! None of these were ever Ellen Tigh!

yet, maybe Ellen will redeem herself

I think it’s pretty clear she is… the Troof clues point to it, Tigh says it, and on top of that, the actress gets her own frakin name on the credits page right after, all by herself… it’s pretty conclusive to me that it’s her… it just leaves, “what is Kara?”

Not yet… we still got 10 episodes to go.

If the Final Five don’t resurrect like the Significant Seven (in an identical body in a Goo Tub), then there will not be any clawing, hungering, howling, or suffering coming out of Ellen Tigh!

True enough… but what I’m thinking is… she’s in storage. Her conciousness is temporarily boxed, in a way… she’s in a “Resurrection Hub” of sorts, but not the cylons… the Erf resurrection hub “system”, or whatever!

Knowing the powers that be (Ron Moore and David Eick),
They’re going to pull the rug out from under us all. That is what makes this show so good. Out of all the hunches and guesses I’ve made, only 1 % of the time do I come close, but it’s always one helluva ride!

man! that episode was so awesome!
I always thought there’d be a good chance of Ellen being the final cylon, but I had given up on the idea!
. ugh! one week is too long! must watch episode with rdm commentary!

What if she wasnt really dead?
No resurrection would be needed.

Really? I thought that was Brooklyn? :stuck_out_tongue:

Did anyone catch BSG playing on the tv in episode #02 Paradise Lost? Bionic woman was on sciffy just now  It’s so cool to have Romo Lambkin, Tyrol and Kara on the show as well

Brooklyn, no, it’s too dumpy to be Brooklyn. Has to be Jersey, I’m guessing somewhere around Newark.
Yeah, and if this is a dysfunctional relationship (following Audra’s metaphor), I don’t care, I’ve got total episode 11 afterglow. That was amazing. Sigh.

Amazing episode

Her open mind?

My initial impression is that the Final Five are reincarnations, somewhat like what happened with the Resurrection Ships, but different somehow.

Deceased and single.

To quote Xander Harris: “Generally speaking, when scary things get scared: not good.”

Not permanently, although I hear if you leave the city limits, it’s legal to rent one for a while.

Well, to rehash an old argument, a “harbinger” is just a signal, not a cause. So it’s likely that her arrival or presence precedes death but isn’t necessarily responsible for it.

It’s also really unlikely that she’s been there for 2000 years. There was blood on her dogtag, and her hair wasn’t discolored or altogether absent. In any case, an exposed skeleton in a damp environment would deteriorate significantly in just a few years, not to mention that she wasn’t buried in several feet of dust, dirt, and sea salt.

I still can’t shake the idea that Six is a young version of Ellen…
