I can do most weekends though for the next NYC meetup.
Friends, Romans, NYC CRüE, lend me your ears!
I have had many requests to organize another NYC meetup, which I am more than happy to do.
Here is the thing, based on many of the posts we have two chapters of the NYC CRüE: Weekday and Weekenders. I know because of proximity and people’s workdays, for some weekday lunchtime is difficult. For others, such as myself, living in CT and being a dad makes it impossible to come in for an event.
With that in mind, it makes sense to acknowledge this and not fight it. We can have weekday lunchtime meetups and the weekend crüe can setup weekend events, no harm in that. Hopefully we can figure out a time that works for both groups (Friday after-work drinks e.g.) so we can all come together.
So, this is a call for the weekday crüe: Is this Thursday feasible, or is next Thursday better, noon to 1, West Side.

Hey all, Sereko here, reporting for duty as a member of the GWC NYC crue (well, a member in that I follow GWC and live in NYC… that counts, yeah?). I can’t leave my office for a middle-of-the-day meetup, but any day after 6pm would be great. Or, as Solai suggested, maybe a Friday night drinks spectacular? It’d be great to put some faces to the screen names I know all so well now!
And bring a radiation detector (Gieger counter).
Hey guys, sorry to have dropped the ball a little on this. Two things in my life have pre-empted my ability to have this meetup. The “weekend crüe” is more than welcome to organize an event, the mid-day crüe is going to have to hold on for a tad. Hopefully soon.
living in central jersey, as i do, i would be down for some weekend madness. it would be cool to take some photos at the supposed location of the ruins for side-by-side geographical comparison to screencaps. what i’d really like to do, though, is put people in the positions of the characters in that 360 shot and shoot some video to try and recreate it, or maybe create a composite photograph of it. we just need to make sure someone brings an eyepatch. i have one, but it’s the wrong color.

Purpose of this thread is two-fold…choosing a location and determining headcount. We are looking for a location that is fun, relatively quiet, not crazy snooty, easily accessible and midtown. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Hey, I might be up for this one OK, I am not exactly NYC Crue, but would ya’ll mind a Philly Crue Member joining ya’ll.
I would be coming in to Penn Station, so something relatively accessable/walkable from there would be great.
Understood Raemani…we are definitely trying to keep it midtown, so Penn accessible is part of the planning.
We’re really pretty excited about this. Can’t wait to meet the northeasters.
