MLP: Friendship Is Magic ep. 3 & 4

From what I’ve seen, it looks like most of the footage came from the first two episodes. Pretty epic, though. I’d watch a whole LotP movie.

Ok. I’ll watch the 1st two eps soonish, been a long day. (PC problems)

I can’t see the vid right now shakes fist towards Virginia but usually it’s just clever editing. With animation you can get down to the frame-by-frame level pretty easy and make people say whatever you want (I’ve done both myself.) I suspect it’s mostly the former and possibly some of the latter.

I think it’s clever editing. But, I don’t edit video and such.

I just watched the eps 1 & 2. They were pretty good. The singing kinda cheesed it up for me, but not terribly. Stuff makes a lot more sense now.

Loved some of the comments from the frak. I am surprised no one made a Captain Planet reference. “By our power combined…”

Why is this the case???

Sure, I’m a fan of Nurse Angel Ririka (swings in extreme from immaturity to “Omg! How is this supposed to be a kid’s show?” Some eps are cringe-worthy fillers, while others make the series shine.), Card Captor Sakura (very solid series, definitely worth watching), and Nanoha (I adore the Nanoha series, mixes fantasy, magic, and sci-fi), and I don’t mind admitting it because I believe they are good characters in great stories. But, I’m surprised that an American made cartoon has an actual audience of older males.

I think a lot of the audience for MLP is the same as that for anime. I know it came to 4chan’s attention via their /co/ board (comics & cartoons.)

For me it’s simply well done animation supporting good characters and plot. The cognitive dissonance that it features My Little Ponies probably helps.
