I’m not concerned by the idea of their developing sexuality… What does concern me is that boys are primitive little animals until, well, quite late in the game. Which I know firsthand, being one.
I’m sorta famous in our circle of family and friends for the holiday newsletter. This year I really stepped out of the box and had my boys help me with my first iMovie. I even opened a You Tube account!

Like you say, I am sure that raising children is much easier from the outside. I’m just saying that you’re thinking of these things and trying to unpack them while you’re raising the kiddos, and that means that your girls and boys already have an advantage. Chuck pointed out on the most recent cast that the best thing you can do is make sure the seeds of responsibility and ethics are planted in your kids’ brains by the time they’re 13 or so, because by the time they’re 15 they’re crazy. Y’all have kids who are between 0 and 10- while you can’t help but
worry about them growing up and doing the stupid craaap that we all did, you’re already getting ready to plant those seeds.
Did the kids say, “Aw, dad, come on, do we hafta have a Cylon scarf? No one will get it!” Because you should tell them that we are highly amused.
