Anyone else think that the whole thing with giving the pill to Sayid was not Dogen and the others wanting to off Sayid (they had more than enough chances and guns to do that if that was all they wanted) but because they were testing Jack?

Interesting thought…maybe, but then they wouldn’t have had suspect that CrazyJack would use the pill on himself.

I don’t think this is the case but I did think that perhaps the pill was poisonous for Jack but not for whatever Sayid is becoming.

Could be that the Poison would only eradicate the infection/claimed by some Island Ghost and leave Sayid unharmed.
