I think we were all fooled into starting to trust Ben a little bit. I think last week I said I would be his friend. I think I gotta take that back.
I still trust Ben. I think he is one of those guys he does bad things for the rightest reasons.
I think it is more the right reasons for the Island. Yeah, I think he’s an unsung hero also but I still wouldn’t want to be his friend cuz if it’s a choice between me and the Island. The Island’s gonna win.
Of course. But i think the island is the key to saving the world. so i think the sacrifice is worth it. We see that when he lets Alex die rather than give up the island
Everyone’s getting a bloody nose. Except Faraday and I thot he was there the longest.
Yay!!! Jin is back!!
I think he has been there the least long. I that Ginger and Miles were born on the island.
jsut wait like 3 more minutes
The Ginger was there with the Polar bear or something linked with the polar bear. She started acting weird way before Miles.
NOOOO!!! Don’t say that!
Poor Jin. He learns English and now he is with the French.
Oh wait.
That’s got to be Rousseu…Yep she just said it.
Oh man! The End!
They did. There was just some slight miscommunication about what Sayid was into.
Once again, you read my mind. Keara and I were just discussing that earlier. Personally, I think Ben works from a place of enlightened self-interest, maybe not to extent of Baltar, but doing what’s right for the island is still of paramount importance to him.
…save the island, save the world…
We see that when he lets Alex die rather than give up the island
I didn’t see it that way. The impression I got was that whatever deal he and Widmore had should have prevented her death. When she died, I think that was the only time that Ben’s genuinely been surprised about anything.
Awesome episode aint it
Yeah, I accidentally spoiled that surprise for myself and Keara. IMDb is a little too accurate sometimes.
Thats why out side of podcasts i look at nothing Lost related until after a show starts. i even self censor the guest staring so i can be surprised
That’s great.
Yeah I agree with that. His reaction was so drastic.
Me too. This was completely accidental. I was checking out an actor from a movie I watched over the weekend, and there he was, listed as a Frenchman in this episode. Putting the pieces together wasn’t too difficult from there.
yea i can see that too. But i still think he would have let her die to save the island.
I just watched it again and noticed something. Right at the end, right before the reveal of Danielle, a guy hands her a water flask and she says, “Merci, Robert”
According to LOST wiki:
Robert was a member of the Science Team that crashed onto the island 16 years before the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. He was the husband of Danielle Rousseau and the father of Alexandra Rousseau. Robert presented Danielle with a music box for their anniversary, and it served as a comfort for her when she was alone on the island. When Robert became infected with “the sickness”, he failed to notice the firing pin in his gun was missing, and was shot by Danielle.
And now that we know about ‘Jughead’, could the sickness have been radiation poisioning? And was Danielle immune because she was pregnant when she reached the Island (given the Island’s healing properties)?
