I can understand where you’re coming from with this. And I admit, if there had never been an original Knight Rider show, I might have enjoyed the new pilot. But things being as they are and me having been a fan of the original (and David Hasselhoff) since childhood, I can only say that the new pilot lacked everything that made the original show great.
And the original pilot was totally cool, it one or two Eagles songs! ^^
Think they are about to get around to the part of the 80s that contained A-Team…man…can’t wait for that…
Queen Latifah as BA
…ok…I’ve been sitting here for a while and can’t come up with anything else for characters…that and the professor here keeps droning on and on about cell phones…
I sincerely hope you’re kidding.
A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.
Woody Harrelson as Murdock? Ice Cube as BA?
The day this comes out, I’m gonna shoot myself and wake up in a tub of goo and know exactly why mankind is doomed to destruction.
Sheesh…Ice Cube I can live with…Woody gives me the heebies…
Sigh…
:(
Speaking of the A-Team, y’all gotta see this clip from the British show “The IT Crowd” - great tribute to the A-Team (oh and a Star Trek IV reference)
I totally disagree with you here. While the characters clearely werent as developed as they are now, I think the mini-series was very solid. I cant find any real problems with it overall.
I wasn’t claiming that the BSG mini-series was bad - it was fracking awesome - only that the characters and the story were not clearly developed, and they certainly had a ways to go before they were the fluid machine that starting working about midway through the first season.
I would say Act of Contrition is when the writers really found their flow, the actors started meshing better, oh and Boxey was no longer around… coincidence … I think not…
I think they did a pretty good job with this pilot. It was no BSG or Lost, but then again, what is? It’s one I would watch as long as it doesn’t fall apart like Bionic Woman.
Did anyone notice Audra’s “Lip Hunk” Val Kilmer as the voice? The who show it drove me crazy because I couldn’t place it. I wonder if it was just a one time thing for the pilot.

Variety is reporting the NBC ordered the series and that it will likely find itself in a Friday time slot.
I know a lot of people here were less then enthused about the pilot episode, but personally I thought it was great and I am definitely looking forward to watching the series refine and grow.
Uh, I hope NBC isn’t stupid enough to put it is the same timeslot as BSG.
From an io9 article on KR
Keeping up his unusually candid tone, Graboff also said that he know that Knight Rider isn’t the most intellectual show… and, what’s more, he’s proud of it: People need to escape. Ben [Silverman, NBC’s head of programming]'s programming strategy is to find some shows where people can tune in and then mentally tune out. That’s his directive, and I think you’ll see that reflected in the programs.
Wait, it seems to me that just about every show on teevee is a nice non-intellectual escape-fest.
Has this person never heard of all these stupid “reality” shows, or sitcoms, or sports?
Yeah, just what we need another escape. I think some people have escaped alright, and guys in white coats are still out looking for them.
why is there never a potato gun around, when you really need it?
Or maybe a pie Canon
