All of our cats have displayed varying degrees of skill in hunting. Whether it’s mice or the occasional bird (usually still alive so they can ‘play’ with it), we thought we had seen it all.
Until last night.
Lord Nibbler (the kitten who was injured a while ago) has just moved to the top of the hunter-ability rankings with his catch last night: A half-rack of pork ribs.
100% serious.
He came bounding in the cat-door with something in his mouth. Per the usual drill, KayDee yells “What does he have in his mouth?!” and we both cornered him in case he ran.
The picture above, snapped quickly from my phone, is of three pork ribs, BBQ’d. Fully covered with meat, I think it may have come from an unguarded outdoor plate.
I have no words, this cat has taken this to a new level.
