It’s not that I hate Pierce Brosnan as an actor… rather I hate him as Bond. He is a horrible Bond. If he just sucked, we’d simply disregard his movies and pretend he never existed. But his worst sin is that he almost seems like Bond, without getting the true Bond psyche correctly.
He had all the looks and trappings of Bond, without the James Bond swagger and assuring quiet confidence. Pierce Brosnan was a whiny prissy playboy, disguised as James Bond using fancy cars and tuxedo. A whole new generation of movie-goers are introduced to James Bond the pussy.
I don’t like the fact that Daniel Craig is nothing like the Bond we know, I welcome the change. The damage done by Pierce Brosnan was so great, there was no way to replace Brosnan with another “suave” Bond. A complete rewrite of the character was needed, and Daniel Craig has done a great job of delivering that change.
