My fiancee has become a brony and it is ALL YOUR FAULT, GWC! No, it’s not really all your fault. But she has watched most of S1 of FIM in the past week while I’ve been studying. And her BFF did draw her a magical picture of the two of them as ponies, frolicking, that she is her new most prized possession.

My 16yr old son’s a Brony. I’m not sure how he got into it, but he loves it. The fact that it makes him mom worry about him is probably just icing on the cake.

This is very likely one of the many easter eggs in this show. I’ve never watched it myself, but I’ve heard and read a few interviews with writers for the series and they all seem to be fans of sci-fi and fantasy. It seems like they add a lot of these little easter eggs as homage to their favorites.
